The London’s New Year’s Day Parade team has been working hard on a secret project that will be unveiled on December 1st. What a perfect day to announce it, right? This will certainly make the build-up to Christmas and New Year even better!
The SUPER talented and lovely Rachael O’Connor will be opening LNYDP 2024 and is a part of our secret project!
You may recognise Rachael from her professional career, which began at the age of 16 after competing in Series 3 of The Voice UK. Mentored by the iconic Kylie Minogue, Rachael went on to reach the quarter-finals of the contest. She later joined Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord Of The Dance’ playing the role of ‘Erin The Goddess’ during their West End run at The London Palladium, which later went on to tour various theatres and arenas across the world.
Rachael has recently embarked on her Backing Vocal career, joining Duran Duran on various TV and festival gigs and their recent ‘Future Past’ world Tour where she performed the duet ‘GIVE IT ALL UP’ with Simon Le Bon. She can also be heard on several tracks of the new Duran Duran ‘Danse McCabre’ album.
After writing and recording the past few years in Stockholm, Rachael has recently launched her own solo project, check out her new single, ‘Start Of Something.’ She is excited to perform at LNYDP 2024!
