Three New Participants Announced for 2019!

The LNYDP team are delighted to announce the next three participants for London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2019!

Pandemonium Drummers

The Pandemonium Drummer first made their name on the World stage, performing at the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics. The Ceremony was watched by hundreds of millions of people live around the World and their unique talent and bond helped make the 2012 ceremony one of the best! The group comprise of local volunteer drummers from around London and the South East. Since their experience at the Olympics, they have appeared at many mammoth events including LNYDP since 2013. In addition the group worked with World famous music producer, Felix Buxton from Basement Jaxx, to collaborate on their hit single ‘Champion’, which was created to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust and to celebrate the legacy of London 2012!

Mountain View High School Spartan Marching Band

Mountain View High School is located in the heart of Silicon Valley in California. The Spartan Marching Band begins their season at a week-long Band Camp in the Santa Cruz mountains and performs in several competitive field show competitions throughout the Autumn. Band and Colourguard students have many opportunities to grow as performers, leaders and ambassadors to our school and local communities.

The Spartan Marching Band was selected to travel to Los Angeles to participate in the filming of the 1983 motion picture “The Right Stuff”. The Band later performed a competitive production based on the same theme in 2004, launching three rockets from the football field!

Mini Moke Club

The iconic 1070’s Mini Moke vehicles have been preserved by a dedicated group of Moke Mad Motor heads – The Mini Moke Club. The club have been around for over 25 years keeping their motoring tradition alive and teaching new generations about a bygone era in motoring. The club take part in a numerous shows throughout the UK and raise lots of money for charities through fun run events. We can’t wait to welcome these motoring icons back to the streets of London on January 1st!
