THREE MORE PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED FOR LNYDP 2022

The line-up for LNYDP 2022 building each week and we are delighted to announce three stellar entries ahead of festivities for 1st January.

Heliosphere by The Dream Engine

Spiralling and spinning and seemingly weightless, an acrobat suspended beneath a helium balloon explores the uncharted space between ground level and rooftops.

A helium-filled sphere which rises like a bubble in an ocean of air, is manipulated from below like a giant marionet. The ground crew control the balloon’s speed, direction and height, enabling the aerialist to perform loop-the-loops and fly down to say hello to the audience.

The three artists create a piece of overhead magic and on a calm day, our aerial dancer can swoop out of the sky, steal the sugar lumps from a café-goer’s saucer and soar to twenty meters in a moment.

The Heliosphere is a show performed to music which is both aerobatic and interactive to create the illusion of flying.

Panash Steel Orchestra

Panash Steel Orchestra UK is a steel pan pan orchestra and dance group, consisting of members aged from 6 to 80 years of age, of all technical abilities. Our aims are to promote the steel pan, run classes for the local community and to transcend cultural, social and class barriers to create an atmosphere of fun and learning for all!

Panash Steel Orchestra UK is therefore very excited to be bringing a taste of Caribbean life to London, on January 1st at LNYDP 2022!

Panash Steel Orchestra UK was originally formed in 1983 by David Griffiths in Harrow, North-West London. The Orchestra was briefly disbanded in 1996, however in 2008 under the excellent guidance of Jay Butcher and Varina Kellman, who remain the current Orchestra Director!

City of London Brass Band

The City of London Brass Band draws in members from across the UK capital. They are a highly experienced group, playing events throughout the UK and further afield. 2022 will mark the Band’s eight year at London’s New Year’s Day Parade and we can’t wait to welcome them back on January 1st.

The City of London Brass Band is open to complete beginners too. They welcome musicians of all experiences and even go out of their way to supply brass band enthusiasts with an instrument to help them get started.
