The first London Boroughs have confirmed their participation for London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2019!
London Borough of Barking & Dagenham / London Borough of Barnet
The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham and the London Borough of Barnet have announced their participation at London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2019!
They will compete alongside Boroughs from across the capital in a bid to win a top ten place prize in the LNYDP Borough Competition. Each London Borough will enter their own performance group and parade float. The entries will be judged on who best represents the LNYDP theme, which this year is ‘London Welcomes The World‘.
All prize money will be given to charities of the Borough’s choosing. The Borough Competition has been an integral part of the Parade since 1997 and over that time the competition has raised well over £1 million for very worthwhile causes.

Redlands ‘All-Star’ High School Marching Band
From Redlands, California, this group is made up of instrumental music students from three high schools in Redlands: Redlands High School Redlands East Valley High School, and Citrus Valley High School. Located in Southern California’s “Inland Empire”, Redlands is located approximately 70 miles east of Los Angeles, nestled at the base of the towering San Benardino Mountains.
This is the first time this group has been organised to travel overseas, and we are very excited to be part of this parade.
