LNYDP, London’s New Year’s Day Parade, takes place in central London on the 1st January every year to a street audience of over 650,000, and a worldwide TV and internet audience of 455 million people!
Thousands of young Americans come to London to perform in the parade and associated festival with their marching bands and concert band or dance troupes. They all spend a week in London enjoying an exciting programme of performance and sightseeing.
Destination Events Ltd is responsible for planning and operating each group’s itinerary, co-ordinating their flights, hotels, meals, performances, sightseeing tours, guides, coaches and more.
To make sure the programme is the best it can be, each group has a Tour Assistant to look after them throughout their stay. The Tour Assistant is an essential part of our Parade Team and we are looking for people with buckets of enthusiasm and confidence who are responsible, reliable, super organised and able to think on their feet as well as being willing to work ultra long days for a week long period!
The fee for the work is inclusive of a compulsory training day in November, a one hour briefing before Christmas and a de-brief at the end of the week.
The work entails you being resident with your group throughout the week. You will receive your own room in a 4* hotel with breakfast and dinner included with your group every day. You will work eight days, starting the day before you group arrives, either the 26th, 27th or 28th December and will finish the day they depart, either the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th January.
If this sounds like the job for you, and you have all the above qualities, please get in touch.
