Bolivia in London
Bolivia in London is a collaborative effort from the very best Bolivian dance groups in London. The aim of Bolivia in London is to showcase Bolivia at it’s very colourful best to the watching World! This year, under the organisation of Diego Venegas, the three Bolivian dance groups taking part are:
The Pakistani Foundation are the National Union of Pakistani Students, working towards uniting and empowering our students while showcasing the positive image of Pakistan to the wider World. One of their key objectives is working towards improving the current illiteracy rates in Pakistan.
Miniature Steamers for Charity was formed in 1996 by the late Mick Beadle. Friends who raised money for charity in a regular basis were asked to form the group for the New Year’s Day Parade in London. At the point in time, all the members had built their engines in home workshops using their engineering backgrounds and taking an average of 2500 hours to complete. The engines are scale replicas of machines built between 1880 and 1930. Neil Bradshaw and Brian Brooks have taken part in the Parade since 1996, this being their 24th Parade. Today 3 engines have been made by their owners and three were purchased and renovated by their present owners.
